Microsoft Office Home and Business 2024 for PC is sold as a one-time purchase rather than a recurring Microsoft 365 subscription. It includes the classic desktop applications listed above for one compatible Windows PC.
Unlike Microsoft 365, Office 2024 does not include the subscription services and continuously delivered feature upgrades associated with Microsoft 365 plans. A future major Office release would require a separate purchase if you choose to upgrade.
Windows Compatibility
Office Home and Business 2024 for PC requires a supported Windows environment. Microsoft lists Windows 11 and Windows 10 for Office 2024, but Windows 10 itself reached end of support on 14 October 2025.
For a new installation in 2026, a supported Windows 11 system is therefore the safer long-term choice. Before purchasing, confirm that your PC meets Microsoft’s current Office system requirements and that your Windows version remains supported.

How to Install and Activate Office Home and Business 2024
- Open the order email from Golavon and copy your Office Home and Business 2024 product key. It arrives within 30 minutes of payment.
- Go to microsoft365.com/setup and sign in with the Microsoft account you want to keep Office on. Create a free account if you do not have one.
- Enter the 25-character product key and confirm your country and language.
- The product is now linked to your Microsoft account. Open account.microsoft.com/services, find Office Home and Business 2024 and select Install.
- Run the downloaded installer on your Windows PC and wait for it to finish.
- Open Word or Excel, sign in with the same Microsoft account, and Office activates automatically.
Keep the Microsoft account details safe. You need them to reinstall Office on the same PC later.
If Installation or Activation Does Not Work
- “This key has already been used”: sign in with the Microsoft account that redeemed the key. The product appears under Services & subscriptions.
- An older Office version is installed: uninstall it first from Settings > Apps, then install Office 2024.
- Wrong Microsoft account: in any Office app, open File > Account, sign out and sign in with the account that holds Office 2024.
- Still not working: email contact@golavon.com with your order number and a screenshot of the message.
Office Home and Business 2024 vs Office Home 2024
Both are one-time purchases for one PC with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Office Home and Business 2024 also includes Outlook and is licensed for commercial use, so it suits freelancers and small businesses. Office Home 2024 does not include Outlook and is for personal, non-commercial use only.
