Microsoft Windows 10 Pro is the professional edition of Windows 10 for users who need business-focused features such as BitLocker, Remote Desktop host functionality, domain join, Group Policy and Hyper-V on compatible hardware.
Important: Microsoft ended standard support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. Windows 10 PCs can continue to function, but standard technical support, feature updates and free security updates are no longer provided by Microsoft. Before purchasing, make sure Windows 10 is appropriate for your use case and review Microsoft’s current support and Extended Security Updates options.
Transfer and reactivation rights are subject to Microsoft’s applicable licence terms and product conditions.
Microsoft Windows 10 reached end of support on 14 October 2025. Microsoft states that Windows 10 PCs will continue to work, but standard software updates, security fixes and technical assistance are no longer provided after that date.
Microsoft recommends moving to Windows 11 on compatible hardware. Eligible Windows 10 devices may also have Extended Security Updates options available for a limited period. You can review Microsoft’s official Windows 10 end-of-support guidance before purchasing.
Windows 10 Pro includes BitLocker drive encryption, which can help protect data on compatible devices. It also includes Windows Security features and administrative controls intended for professional and business environments.
Because Windows 10 is now outside standard support, the presence of built-in security features should not be confused with receiving current standard Windows 10 security updates. Organisations should assess their security requirements and Microsoft’s current ESU options before deploying Windows 10 on production systems.
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro can act as a Remote Desktop host, allowing authorised users to connect remotely from another supported device. It also supports domain join, Group Policy and other management capabilities commonly used in business environments.
These features make Windows 10 Pro more suitable than Windows 10 Home for users who need centralised administration, managed workplace access or additional control over device policies.
Windows 10 Pro includes Hyper-V support on compatible hardware, allowing users to create and run virtual machines for testing, development and other professional workloads. Hardware virtualisation must be supported and enabled for these features to work correctly.
Windows Sandbox may also be available on supported Windows 10 Pro configurations, providing an isolated environment for temporary application testing.
Windows 10 Pro can still be useful for specific legacy hardware, applications or business workflows that require Windows 10 compatibility. Before purchasing, check that your software, drivers and hardware support the Windows 10 edition you intend to install.
If your PC supports Windows 11 and your applications are compatible, Microsoft recommends Windows 11 as the supported Windows platform. For a current supported option, see our Microsoft Windows 11 Pro product.
This is a digital software licence product. After payment confirmation, the product key and activation guidance are delivered electronically. No physical disc or boxed product is shipped.
Install the correct Windows 10 Pro edition on a compatible PC and enter the supplied product key to complete activation. Installation media availability and activation behaviour can depend on the licence type and Microsoft’s current services.
Please confirm that you specifically need Windows 10 Pro rather than Windows 11 Pro. Windows 10 is no longer in standard support, so it is most appropriate for users with a clear compatibility or legacy requirement.
Activation, transfer and usage rights depend on the specific licence supplied and Microsoft’s applicable licence terms. If you require a currently supported Windows version for a new deployment, consider Windows 11 Pro instead.

Microsoft ended standard support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. Organisations can buy paid Extended Security Updates from Microsoft, with the final year ending on 10 October 2028. For new deployments, Windows 11 Pro keeps the same business features and is fully supported.
Not by default. Standard support ended on 14 October 2025. Organisations can buy Extended Security Updates directly from Microsoft.
